6.1 Density and CTE

The first two items in Macromechanics are Laminate Density \includegraphics[width=14pt]{./Images/weight-icon.png} and Laminate coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) \includegraphics[width=14pt]{./Images/ThermalAndHygroscopicLoads.png}. The density is calculated as the weighted average of the densities of the laminas in the laminate. The CTE are the strains caused by a unit change of temperature. CADEC calculates the thermal loads caused by a unit change of temperature, then uses those loads to compute the strains and thus the CTE.
