CADEC runs a beam-strength analysis similar to what it does for laminates in Chapter/Strength. It finds the FPF and LPF for each segment/panel and for the whole section. The interpretation of LPF/FPF is the same as in Chapter/Strength.

The loads (axial, bending, shear, and torque) to which each panel is subjected, along with the panel’s FPF/LPF values are given. Then, *s/b* is the distance from the first node of the segment, , at which the segment’s reported value of FPF occurs. That is, where the segment fails first. Finally, *b* is the width of the segment.

Of course the results will be affected by temperature/moisture is the user so chooses via *Environment*.
