10.4 Strength

CADEC runs a beam-strength analysis similar to what it does for laminates in Chapter/Strength. It finds the FPF and LPF for each segment/panel and for the whole section. The interpretation of LPF/FPF is the same as in Chapter/Strength.

The loads (axial, bending, shear, and torque) to which each panel is subjected, along with the panel’s FPF/LPF values are given. Then, s/b is the distance from the first node of the segment, $n_ i$, at which the segment’s reported value of FPF occurs. That is, where the segment fails first. Finally, b is the width of the segment.

Of course the results will be affected by temperature/moisture is the user so chooses via Environment.
